Riders are particular about who touches their bike, and they should be. A motorcycle can't simply be hooked and dragged like a car. Strap it wrong and it can tip on the deck, scratch a tank or bend a fender before it's left the curb. Our operators are trained specifically to load and secure motorcycles, so your bike arrives standing upright and unmarked.
How we carry a motorcycle
Every bike we move rides on a flatbed. The front wheel goes into a wheel chock that holds it straight, and soft-loop straps go around solid points like the triple clamps or lower frame, so metal hooks never touch paint or chrome. The straps compress the suspension just enough to keep the bike steady without overloading the forks. If the bike can't roll because of a locked wheel or crash damage, we use a skate or dolly to move it onto the deck.

Common reasons riders call
Kalamazoo's riding season is short and busy. Between April and October we pick up bikes with dead batteries after a long winter, flat tires from road debris, and mechanical failures on rides out to Gull Lake or along the back roads toward Allegan. We also move bikes for planned trips, such as to a dealer for service, to a new owner, or into winter storage.
After a crash
If you've gone down, get yourself checked first, even if you feel fine. Adrenaline hides a lot. Once you're safe, we can take the bike to a repair shop or to our secure storage lot while your insurer looks at it. Grab your helmet, gear and anything in the saddlebags before it's loaded, if you can.
